Weddings at The Pillar & Post by Vintage Hotels

The Pillar & Post is a remarkable wedding venue that is located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake. If you’re thinking of having your wedding there, we want to encourage you that we think you will love it. They offer everything you need for a wedding day. This way you don’t need to go anywhere else. What is also nice is that Pillar & Post has ample parking & valet service so that your guests don’t need to walk far to arrive at your wedding. This is especially great for families with young children or grandparents who may not be able to stand for long periods of time. If you’re wondering what the different spots for photos look like in the hotel, we’ve included a few brief descriptions below.

Best spots for Wedding Photos at The Pillar & Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake

The Chicago Room

Located in the lower level, this room provides a relaxing environment to get ready. We find that most grooms and groomsmen enjoy getting ready here since it is tucked away in the hotel, it provides rustic charm. There’s also a pool table where you can pass the time while bonding with friends. The Chicago room is a large room that can easily accommodate your wedding party along with additional friends and family.

The Secord Room

This room has nice and even lighting which is great for photos. Additionally, it is close to the Patio so if you want to open a letter from your soon-to-be husband on your wedding day in private you can step outside and be in a relaxing garden area with some privacy.

The Rose Garden

This is where many of the wedding ceremonies take place at the Pillar & Post. This spot is wonderful for intimate ceremonies. We find if your ceremony in the Rose Garden starts just before sunset, the light will be incredible which will make your photos look better than they would at a noon ceremony.

The Patio

This is such wonderful for cocktail hour. It’s large and has room for guests to walk around and mingle with each other as the hors d’oeuvre are served by the wait staff of Pillar & Post. It’s also a great spot if you or your guests would like to get some fresh air during the evening.

The Upper Canada Hall Ballroom

The Upper Canada Hall Ballroom is a beautiful ballroom that can seat nearly 200 guests. It looks beautiful when the string lights are lit your guests are all dancing together, and the lights coupled with the mirrors provide a beautiful glow to your reception.

We hope this has been helpful to you!  Below, you can find full blog posts to see what full days look like at the Pillar & Post.
