Here’s our advice:

Create a Timeline

There is quite simply nothing else that compares to creating a timeline you’re looking to eliminate stress from your wedding day. When everybody knows where they’re meant to be, at what time, with plenty of breathing room in between each element to the day – you can all relax and enjoy each moment as it comes!

When creating a timeline, we recommend you consider the following:

Be sure to allow plenty of time for photos

We know you’ll want to relive these precious moments again and again after the whirlwind of your wedding day has passed. Make sure you’ve allowed plenty of time for photos that you and your family can treasure for many years to come.

Plan in moments of alone time

It can be so easy to get swept up in the excitement of the day – especially when surrounded by all your loved ones. And as much as you hope your guests will have a wonderful time, don’t forget to check out our 5 Top Tips for an Introvert on their Wedding Day for some sweet, romantic ideas to consider when planning in some moments for just the two of you to sit back and soak up all the magic!

Share your timeline with your wedding party

Set aside some time ahead of your big day to sit down with your wedding party and clearly communicate the timeline of your day, as well as hand out physical or digital copies to as many people as you see fit. There’s a true peace of mind that comes with knowing you’re all on the same page!

Delegate

With so many details working together to make your special day as beautiful as it will be, inevitably last minute questions will arise – no matter how meticulously you plan ahead! Pick one or two trusted members of your wedding party to handle these on the day. Allow them to act as a buffer – filtering the questions that come to you so there’s no need for you to be distracted from all the fun you’re having!

P.s. If you have any questions on the big day or during the planning process – we’d be delighted to help! It’s so normal to have questions, especially if this is your first time planning a wedding.

Pack Snacks!

…and drinks! Especially if you’re getting married in the Summer and the weather’s warm. Staying refreshed, hydrated and fed will help to sustain your energy levels throughout the day and maintain that newlywed glow for your photos! Wedding days can require a lot of you, emotionally and physically, so come prepared with fuel for the festivities. We recommend packing a cooler to be made available once you’ve finished getting ready, and to enjoy while you’re traveling between locations.

Pre-marriage counselling

Maybe this last point isn’t exactly what you were expecting? But ultimately, feeling happy and confident in your decision to get married really is the key to a wonderful wedding day! If the stress of wedding planning has begun to overshadow your excitement about this amazing decision you’re making – take this as permission to head out on a date night, reconnect, and remind yourselves of what really matters. Do what you can to prepare your heart and mind for exciting next chapter of your life – soon to be marked by a celebration that dreams are made of!

Oh, and lastly, here’s a bonus tip

Have fun!!

May your cheeks ache from smiling and your feet hurt from dancing. This is a party, after all! And we’re here to capture every moment of it – never to be forgotten, forever to be enjoyed.
